Former Chelsea star John Terry has mocked Wayne Rooney, former Manchester United star, about intentionally hurting an opponent, in a previous confrontation between the two teams.
The story dates back to the confrontation of Chelsea and Manchester United in April 2006, when the blue team was close to crowning the English Premier League and Rooney was desperate to prevent that from happening.
So Ronnie specially wore metal pointed shoes that were longer than usual so that he could hit one of his opponents
"We knew Chelsea would win the league if they won, so I changed my boots to get metal tips as long as I could get because I wanted to hurt someone and try to hurt them," Rooney said.
"I knew they were going to win this match because you can feel they were a better team at the time, these boots were legal, and I knew I had to get the right tackle, which I did."
John Terry left the field, I left a hole in his foot and then fell off my shirt and sent it to him after the match
Terry laughed at the admission, as Rooney asked via Twitter: "Is this the time you left the tip of your shoe in my foot?"
It is noteworthy that Chelsea won the league at the end of the season, while Rooney was injured at the end of this meeting because the tip of the shoe got stuck in the floor, causing him to fall wrongly.
