Dusan Vlahovic, the new Juventus striker, revealed what coach Massimiliano Allegri asked of him in his first match with the old lady after his move last January.
Vlahovic scored a goal in Juventus' victory over its guest Hellas Verona 2-0 in the 24th round of the Italian League
Vlahovic said in statements, most notably on his club's website: "Winning this match was very important."
"It's always more difficult in the second half, especially mentally," added the Serbian striker
“We took the right approach and managed to achieve the most important thing, which is to win.”
"I have to thank my teammates and the coach for welcoming me, they helped me a lot these days."
Vlahovic raised his score in the Italian league to 18 goals as the top scorer for the competition, as he scored 17 goals in the first half of the season with Fiorentina
I keep trying to understand how things are going as quickly as possible and I have to keep getting better
The coach told me to keep calm and I'm happy to be welcomed
“Juventus always aims to achieve the best and I am here to contribute to that.”
Vlahovic scored the first goals for Juventus against Verona after a decisive pass from Argentine Paulo Dybala
In the 61st minute, Denis Zakaria scored the second goal after Alvaro Morata's pass
Zakaria also joined Juventus in the winter from Borussia Moenchengladbach, 6 months before the end of his contract.
Thus, Juventus raises its score to 45 points, 8 points behind the leaders Inter Milan, who played a game less, while Verona's balance froze at 33 points in ninth place.
