Swiss Xherdan Shaqiri has left Olympique Lyonnais for the American League, after spending only half a season with him, after joining the team last summer from Liverpool.
According to a statement issued by Lyon, published on the official website, announcing the transfer of Shaqiri to the ranks of the Chicago Fire team, for 7 million euros.
"The decision was taken at the request of Shaqiri and in coordination with coach Peter Boss," the statement continued.
The statement indicated that Shaqiri officially joined his team in preparation for the start of the American League competitions at the end of February.
It is worth noting that 30-year-old Xherdan Shaqiri played for many clubs, the most important of which are Basel, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Stoke City and Liverpool, and his last European stop was Olympique Lyonnais.
