When Ralf Rangnick hinted that Paul Pogba could effectively use his past few months at Manchester United to prove it, he was greeted with dismay.
And it was hard to accept that United were more than just a ship for the club's most expensive player to find a new team.
But that was the goalkeeper's style before returning from injury last month.
Rangnick was asked if it made sense to play Pogba because his contract will expire at the end of this season.
He immediately responded: “Of course, by the way, my coaching contract will also expire in the summer. We have the same goal for ourselves. We have the same ambition to be as successful as possible next season.”
